Our Villa, best known as The Castle of Cabbiavoli, perched atop a hill, has been completely restored whilst maintaining the spirit and atmosphere of a noble mansion. It can accommodate 12 people in luxurious comfort.
Cabbiavoli is the ideal spot to create the perfect backdrop for an exclusive rental, unforgettable holiday or a Tuscan wedding. Luxurious facilities complement the private villa, including a private secluded swimming pool, a consecrated chapel, a 13th century tower with breath-taking views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
The Villa is rented on a weekly base from Saturday to Saturday. These rates include 3 hours of daily cleaning with a maid and breakfast. Upon request, a cooking, shopping and butler service is also available. Our attentive staff, Marta and Manuel will ensure that every request is handled with care.
Ground Floor
On the ground floor, the front door leads into a large, cosy hunting room with a fireplace. On the left, a beautiful marble staircase winds up to the first floor. From the living room a corridor provides access to the rest of the house. The spacious and fully equipped kitchen on the right has terracotta flooring and beamed ceilings. Along the corridor, beyond a guest bathroom, there is a sumptuous dining room with French windows that access the courtyard. Further on, the main living room with fireplace there is the library. To the right, the Federico Barbarossa bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath.
First Floor
On the first floor, at the top of the marble staircase, a long corridor leads to the bedrooms. On the right, there is the Yellow double bedroom –with an en-suite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi bath. To the left, there are two twin bedrooms, the Celeste and the Pink bedroom – both with their own bathrooms, one with shower and tub and the other with shower. Towards the end of the corridor on the left, a Julia Roberts bedroom with an outside balcony overlooks the front yard. It is next to its own bathroom with both a shower and a Jacuzzi bath. There is also a laundry room with a wardrobe and a second staircase leading down to the ground floor.
Garden
The villa opens onto a spacious garden with breath-taking views of the Tuscan countryside: dramatic views of the vineyards and the undulating, fertile countryside below, on the horizon the towered town of San Gimignano. In front of the lemon house, a laid-back lounge area, comfortable sofas to enjoy aperitifs and outdoor games, next to it a comfortable dining area is the ideal place to enjoy outdoor dining in the evening. Lunch is served behind the Tower, another very cosy and cool area during the hottest day. A staircase leads down to the swimming pool of 10 x 5 meters surrounded by a large lawn and an arcaded loggia.
XII Century Tower
The annex is a medieval tower standing alongside the villa (part of the original castle) and has its own access. From the living room on the ground floor, a staircase takes you up to a double bedroom with its own bathroom with a shower. With a breath-taking roof terrace.
Lemon House
Overlooking the lawn, we’ll find the ancient Limonaia, which was the home of citrus trees in the winter months and today furnished as a lovely living room. There are lots of games and a football table. Roof terrace offering sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. It’s the ideal place for an Italian aperitivo.
Chapel
The villa has an XIII century consecrated chapel, dedicated to Saint Bartholomew, that contains an XIII crypt where various owners of the estate rest. The Chapel was restored in XVIII century and now can offer the perfect setting for a private wedding ceremony or special celebration.
